The VTI Instruments VT1419A is a multifunction Measurement and Control module in a C-size, single slot, register-based VXI module. It is ideal for mixed sensor and mixed signal data acquisition and closed loop control for design verification of electromechanical components and assemblies. As multi function scanning I/O module, it can handle variety of analog input/output and digital input/outputs at a scan rates up to 50,000. In DSP closed loop control mode, the firmware allows a user to employ pre-written PID control algorithms, modify them for specific application needs, or to write an application from scratch.

The input and output types are configurable by means of signal conditioning plug-ins (SCP). This module can accept a maximum of 8 numbers of SCPs (4 programmable/nonprogrammable + 4 nonprogrammable). List of supported SCPs are indicated in the side box. The flexibility in configuring with multiple Signal Conditioning Plug-ons (SCPs) allows for multiple test setups of mixed signals, both input and output, without adding extra VXI measurement modules. The integrated signal conditioning provides for more accurate and repeatable calibration and eliminates the need for separate signal conditioning carriers. The intelligent measurement and control allows for scalable configurations, on-board Engineering Unit (EU) conversion, and real-time decision making.
