Scalability and Distribution:
The CMX chassis support EMX-2500 LXI controller and provide IEEE-1588 distribution over the backplane for precision timing and synchronization. This allows the chassis to used in distributed data acquisition applications with measurement instruments distributed across the test article. In addition, LXI support allows simplified scalability from a few channels to thousands of channels with a centralized host. Both distribution and scalability have been limitations of traditional PXI/PXIe chassis.
Advanced mechanical design:
The CMX chassis are true 4U height minimizing rack real estate required by the chassis. Innovative cooling techniques are leveraged to minimize noise and eliminate air holes on the top of the chassis which protects the chassis from damage due to spills and allows stacking of chassis.
Maintenance is simplified with advanced monitoring capabilities including power supply, fan and temperature monitoring. Modular design allows easy serviceability.
Simplified for ATE use:
CMX chassis come with complete options for rack mount and receiver assemblies and can also be purchased as integrated subassemblies ready to drop in to test systems. Advanced triggering and synchronization options are implemented to simplify integration with other platforms in hybrid test systems.
